Relationships are a cornerstone of happiness and living a full life. This is because relationships provide us with friends and family to share our lives with and people who can help us out in tough times. Good relationships also tend to bring us plenty of laughs and, as a result, lots of joy.
Most of us obey traffic rules when we are on the road to prevent accidents with other vehicles. However, how often do we follow rules of communication to avoid verbal accidents in our workplaces or homes?
Each of us in this world is unique and have a unique path in our life. We are all travelling to different destinations. What will happen, when we don’t pay attention to our own thoughts which are the signals from the outside world, ignore them and move on. We end up in a collision. We all go through good and bad thoughts in our everyday life. It’s only when we become aware of our thoughts as we would at a traffic signal that we will be able to act consciously without causing harm to us or others around us.

Tug of war is a contest in which two teams pull at opposite ends of a rope until one drags the other over a central line.
We may not be playing this game physically with the people around us . However mentally we all go through a tug of war with different kinds of people around us. Sometimes it is between nations, sometimes it is between religions, sometimes it is between different beliefs. Most often these kinds of tug of wars which are usually for power, position , wealth or fame impacts our lives negatively causing pain and suffering.
We deal with conflicts everyday in our life. Conflicts can be constructive or destructive. Be it school, workplace, home or even outdoors. We may not be able to solve all the conflicts in the world. However, is there a solution to resolve conflicts that happen in our daily lives?
In life, we encounter different types of people and situations. Some people in our life help us learn and grow. Some others drain our energy and suck us into a place of negativity. The negative energy that could be verbal or non-verbal can impact our mindset and can sometimes even paralyze us from moving forward in our life. The negative emotions caused by negative social interactions can make us feel lost and unhappy.
How do we regain our energy to move forward in our life?
One of the most effective ways to regain our energy is by self-regulating our thoughts and emotions. By training our mind, we can elevate ourselves to a centered state that remains unaffected internally irrespective of our external situations in life.
